This comfortable 1 bedroom gîte is set in the quiet hamlet of Baude and overlooks 200 hectares of common land on the edge of the Marais Poitevin. Close to all the amenities of Fontenay le Comte, approx. 5mins from Fontenay-le-Comte, 40 mins from the long sandy Atlantic beaches from La Tranche to Les Sable d'Olonne.

The kitchen area is new, modern and is well equipped with gas cooker and hob, toaster, fridge freezer, microwave. Crockery, cutlery/utensils, bowls, pans. Everything you may need to make your holiday easy. There is a separate Laundry room.
Living area. The downstairs area is open plan, there is a double settee/sofa bed that can be used for a second bed if needed, fold down table and chairs. Large window overlooking the open fields. UK Sat TV, DVD and video player.
Bedroom Large double bedroom with a double bed or 2 singles if preferred. (just let us know what your requirement is.) Bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of draws.
Bathroom and Toilets. The shower room is on the upper floor with a shower, wash basin and toilet.
Garden and outdoor facilities. The secure and enclosed garden is childproof and dog proof, mature fruit trees in the lower garden and some delightful flower beds, the BBQ area and dining table for those lovely evening meals is also located in the lower garden, the upper garden has enough space for the children to play badminton and there is a small above ground pool with detachable steps for added security and can be viewed from the BBq seating area so you can have your glass of wine and keep an eye on the children. There is ample patio furniture and some sun loungers for reading the books in the shade of the Cherry trees.
Miscellaneous. The house has a laundry room. A cot and high chair is available. Off road parking, log burner. Pets are welcome
Location 5 min's drive from Fontenay le Comte, the town has major supermarkets and banks as well as chemists, post office, bars, restaurants and a large Saturday indoor and outdoor market. The glorious long sandy blue flag beaches of the Atlantic coast are just 40 min's away, as is the delightful port of La Rochelle that boasts probably some of the best seafood restaurants around and is steeped in local history.
Activities. fishing, cycling, walking, bird watching, sailing canoeing and windsurfing at Mervent something for families of all ages.
