Le Petit Fougerais is a large detached two bedroom farmhouse, sleeps up to9, with traditional oak beamed ceilings, in a quiet hamlet close to the village of Thouarsais Bouildroux in the Vendee region of France. It is close to the West coast of France. Picturesque La Rochelle and popular resorts such as La Tranche Sur Mer and Les Sable D'Olonne are less than an hours drive away. Situated close to the renowned Puy Du Fou, medieval re-enactment. Mervent forest, Venice Vert and a host of other attractions.

The kitchen. Fully fitted and is very well equipped; it has electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, fridge, ample storage and work surfaces. Crockery, cutlery/utensils, bowls, pans, Iron & ironing board. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, chest freezer and second drinks fridge.

Living area with satellite TV, video and loads of videos to watch, DVD player, playstation 1 and games. Plenty of arm chairs, Dining area with extendable dining table .

Bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, two bunk beds and a single bed. Bedroom 2 has two double beds. There is also a cot available. Each bedroom is fully equipped with quilts and pillows, well furnished and carpeted. There is a charge for linen if required.

Bathroom and Toilets. Large bathroom with bath, shower, wash hand basin. Separate W.C .

Garden and outdoor facilities. Large private garden. Exclusive use of 30' x 15' by 4' deep swimming pool. 2 patio areas with furniture and BBQ so you can chose sun or shade at any time of day. Two adult mountain bikes and one BMX bike available to use free of charge. Pond for fishing.

Miscellaneous. All services are included (i.e. water heating & electricity) If you have an interest in Birds then there is a resident family of Barn Owls that nest in the barn each year and there is a camera in situ connected to a second TV in the house so that you can view the birds as they live and raise their young.

Location. The house is close to the west coast of France. Picturesque La Rochelle and popular resorts such as La Tranche sur Mer and Les Sables D'Olonne are less than an hour's drive away. The area is only three hours drive from the port of St. Malo, 4 hours from Ouistream (Caen) and 4 ½ from Cherbourg.

Activities.You are in an easy driving distance of Vouvant and Mervent with its forest and lakes, just outside Mervent you can go to the Retro adventure park for both adults and children. Pissotte has a large vineyard with tours and tasting during most of the year. Well located for a number of very high class competition standard golf courses, Cycling, sailing, fishing, horse riding and go-Karting all available nearby.
Popular hypermarket LeClerc and a wide range of shops are to be found in Fontenay le Comte. Visit the Chateau and the Saturday market or just walk along the banks of the river Vendee. Puy du Fou, Futuroscope, Cognac, All easy day trips .
