Le Jardin is a 3 bedroom well equipped south facing cottage tastefully renovated, overlooking the garden and the terrace where you can enjoy al fresco living to the full. In the country surrounded by sunflower fields and apple orchards. It is an ideal area for walking, cycling, bird-watching or just relaxing. The micro climate makes this a very popular area.
Les Jincheres is a 17th century mill complex of 3 renovated holiday cottages and faces south over meadows towards woodland. Set in a hidden valley on the Deux Sevres / Vendee Border and is the ideal place from which to discover this wonderful region. Les Jincheres is entered by its own private driveway and has over 2 acres of private grounds surrounding it.

The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, 4 ring hob, Oven, Grill and offering every modern convenience. Dining Table that comfortably seats 6.

Living area. This is an open plan Lounge/diner with comfortable sofa and chairs , CD player and TV (English). This cottage has an interlocking door with Le Nid de la Huppe, which enables 12 people to holiday together.

Bedrooms. 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom on the first floor, and 1 double bedroom on the ground floor with its own shower room, which makes this suitable for the elderly or infirm.

Bathroom and Toilets. On the first floor you will find the main family bathroom with a bath, hand basin and toilet, downstairs there is a shower room and toilet.

Garden and outdoor facilities. The swimming pool is decked and is 10 x 5 meters and 1.2 meters deep, it is fenced and gated.The Lake is stocked with Bream, Rudd and Carp. For the children there is a play area with a table tennis table, a knockabout badminton / volley ball court, swing-ball and a football net, for the smaller children there is a sandpit, paddling pool, table/chairs etc.

Miscellaneous. Children welcome, pets accepted with prior agreement. Linen provided. There is also a cot and highchair. Baguettes, croissants etc, arrive six times a week in time for breakfast during the summer.

Location. The port of St Malo is approximately 3½ hours. La Rochelle and Poitiers airports are approx 1 hours drive and Nantes 1½ hrs. Car hire is available at these airports . L'Absie is the nearest town and is just 3 km away. It offers all the amenities including, pharmacies, newsagent, banks, grocer, bakers, butcher, post office, doctors, dentist, vets, bars, restaurants and an English shop!!, The nearest large supermarkets are Chataigneraie (12 kms), Moncoutant (14 kms), and Secondigny (16kms).

Activities. Within an hour of Les Jincheres you can find the Atlantic beaches of La Tranche, Les Sables D'Olonne and the chic atmosphere of La Rochelle. One of the natural attractions of the area is the Marais Poitevin known to the French as Venise Vert (Green Venice), In the Summer the interlinking canals and waterways turn green with algae. Mervent Forest is ideal for walking or cycling. Here you will find plenty of quiet spots for picnics and watching wildlife but the Forest also boasts the Parc Pierre Brune where you and the children can play on huge bouncy castles, slides, catwalks and trampolines. FUTUROSCOPE, a film theme park, with a collection of virtual reality rides drawing the viewers into the film. The town itself is worth a visit with the half timbered houses. PUY DU FOU offers a great medieval day out for the whole family with exceptional falconry displays, during the displays the birds can skim over your head. As an added attraction is that you can go and meet the performers at quite close quarters!!. GOLF COURSES. Half an hour's drive to the golf course at Mazieres en Gatine. An interesting course with the added bonus that for almost every hole you have in view a splendid chateau. The owners of Les Jincheres are very keen golfers who are only too pleased to book or help you if you would like to play golf while you are on holiday.
