This luxury 5 bedroom mill house has been totally restored to an exceptionally high standard. The 11th century water driven flour mill is one of a few working examples and has been owned by the same family for 5 generations. Moulin Garreau is a 5 bedroom property, can sleep up to 11, all the bedrooms have en-suite facilities, with private pool, spa pool and sauna. Fishing lakes for your private use. The house is situated in the Vendee region of Western France with the Atlantic on its Western Coast, La Rochelle to the South and Nantes and Brittany to the North.

The kitchen. Well equipped American style kitchen with breakfast bar, oven, hob, microwave, full sized American fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker. There is a separate utility room has a washing machine and tumble drier and door leading to patio area.

Living area. The large lounge has the original beamed ceilings, and two original fireplaces. There are comfortable armchairs and sofas, also a large refrectory style dining table and chairs.

Bedrooms. There are 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and toilet. 2 twin bedrooms with shared en-suite shower and toilet facilities. 1 bedroom with 3/4 size bed and single bed with en-suite bath and toilet

Bathroom and Toilets. Apart from all the en-suite facilities upstairs there is also a downstairs WC and washbasin.

Garden and outdoor facilities Outside there are extensive grounds with a super swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. Large patio area and separate BBq area, also large garden with 2 fishing lakes, our previous customers have told us that there are Carp and various other fish resident in the lakes. Fishing tackle is also available. This house is very private and exclusive. There is also a separate decking area overlooking the lake and grounds to sit and enjoy the wonderful views and have the odd glass of wine whilst watching the evening sun.

Miscellaneous. This property is centrally heated and available all year. Bicycles and fishing rods are also available.All services included, as are linen & towels.

Location. The village of St Martins Des Fontaines is adjacent to L'Hermenault village and is just 2km away and has a small supermarket, boulangerie, pharmacy, bank, post office, the large nearest town is Fontenay le Comte and is approx 15 minutes drive away offering a variety of hypermarkets, restaurants and cafes.
Well placed for the beautiful city of La Rochelle and the exclusive island of Ile de Re being only 40 minute drive away. Golden, safe sandy beaches are approx 40min's by car

Activities. The Vendee has something to offer everybody, Vineyards in Pissotte providing tours and wine tasting, just 5 minutes away. Mervent - Vouvant . Beautiful forest area offering magnificent views and activities including boating, pedlows and nearby man-made beach and picnic areas. Mervent Zoo, Pierre bruin and nearby adventure centre. There are many other beach resorts that are all within easy reach, including: La Tranche sur Mer , L'Aiguillon sur Mer , La Faute sur Mer , Les Sables d'Olonne and Chatelaillon Plage. Venise Verte (Green Venice) Boats for hire here. Excellent high quality Golf Courses within an hour by car.
