A luxurious 6 bedroom superb, well furnished holiday home and is situated in Cravans, Nr. Gemozac, at the end of a tree lined cul-de-sac in the tiny hamlet of Chez Bouquet, surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields. Located in South West France, 25 minutes from Royan and Cognac which are about twenty miles away, and its significance is self explanatory! The ancient town of Saintes is about twenty minutes.

The kitchen has ceramic hob, eye level oven, microwave, dishwasher, large toaster, electric kettle, coffee peculator, electric whisk, bar-style wine opener and a large fridge-freezer, the washing machine is located in the garage. One the first floor there is a kitchenette which has an electric hob, grill, fridge and sink unit.
Living area. The Main Lounge has a huge sofa that can seat 6 adults or 8 children. Glass fronted, wood burning fire, dimmer lights, beautiful custom made wall units and high quality Charentaise furniture and polished wall units. There is a Sky satellite TV, DVD, video player, and CD stereo. The 2nd lounge, on the first floor, has a dining table, a sofa bed.
Bedrooms. Ground floor. 1 bedroom with a large king size bed, craftsman-made cupboards and wardrobes and TV/DVD, 2nd bedroom has a double bed and a single bed with a huge wardrobe, electric Velux skylights, 3rd bedroom has two single beds with en-suite power shower and basin unit . The First floor has a huge bedroom which has 2 single beds and a double sofa bed, electric Velux skylight. The 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds, open plan bedroom with a large single bed and the lounge has a double sofa bed. Linen and house towels are included but do bring your own beach/swimming towels.
Bathroom and Toilets. The ground floor has the main bathroom with twin wash basins, a bath with shower attachment, adjacent to this is a walk-in wet room, with power shower, there are two toilets and a 2nd bathroom. The first floor has a bathroom with toilet, wash basin and power shower.
Garden and outdoor facilities. Immaculate landscaped gardens and woodland with many bushes and fruit trees including figs, plums, cherries, apples and apricots. The large wood is full of Poplar trees. Security lights come on at night in various areas of the garden when you enter. A small river seventy yards from the end of the garden for fishing. The 10x5m pool has a security cover which complies with new French standard. A pool shower. Adjacent to the pool is an excellent BBq and table with seating for twelve. The pool conservatory is shaded all day and a welcome place to escape the mid day sun. There is a drinks fridge, and an ice-cube making machine churning out cubes to your requirements! Facing the pool is a CCTV camera transmitting photo and sound to a 21" monitor in the kitchen, giving peace of mind for parents. The Front Conservatory is an ideal place to have breakfast and to relax in.
Miscellaneous. Table tennis can be played on the lawn or terrace. There 2 adult bicycles, and 2 children's bicycles age 8-14. Travel cot available. There are golf courses at Saintes, Cognac and Royan. Private parking. The local village of Cravans has a bakery, bar-restaurant. At St-Andre-de-Lidon, 5 mins, there is a general store, post office, and the Relais de Lidon, a reasonably priced restaurant. Gemozac is 8 minutes away, and has many shops and a supermarket. Location. Close to Cognac, 25 minutes from Saintes, 1 hour from La Rochelle. The ferry ports of St.Malo 4hrs, Cherbourg 7hrs, Boulogne (Sea Ferries) 7 hrs, Calais 8hrs. The Airports of La Rochelle 1hr, Bordeaux 1hr 30mins and Angouleme 1hr 10mins. 25mins from A10 motorway.
Activities. Take the ferry from Royan to the Medoc, you can visit the world famous Wine Chateaux, including Lafite, Latour, Petrus, Mouton Rothschild, and Margaux. Visit the remains of the Chateau de Cognac where King Francois I was born in 1494. Here you will find the Otard distillery, which has been producing cognac since 1795. The nearest local beach is at St. Georges de Didonne. For the gardeners then visit the Botanical Park Deau, 3 hectares composed of more than 1500 varieties of plants gathered in various parts of the gardens. A picnic area is available to the visitors in the shade of the oaks. These beautiful gardens are 5 minutes away from the house. Also 5 minutes from the house is the lovely fishing lake L'Etang des Brousses, set in two hectares of lawns and woodland, with a bar and reasonably priced restaurant. Fishing is seven euros a half day and the chef will cook your catch!
