Set in the quiet village of St. Maurice des Noues in the South Vendee, just 3 miles from the picturesque medieval town of Vouvant and close to local amenities. A short drive you can visit the renaissance town of Fontenay le Comte, La Roche sur Yon and Lucon. 45 minutes from the long sandy Atlantic beaches of La Tranche and Les Sable d'Olonne.

The kitchen. A recently fitted kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge / freezer, dishwasher. There is a kitchen annexe with a washing machine should you need it.
Living area. Large living room where everyone can gather. If you want to keep up with your favourite programs, there is a flat screen HD TV with DVD player and Freesat TV
Bedrooms. 1 double bedroom upstairs and 1 double bedroom on the ground floor, a further large bedroom with 4 single beds. There is a further bedroom which has 2 single beds and access is through one of the bedrooms upstairs.
Toilet and Bathrooms. Shower room and separate toilet on the ground floor
Garden and outdoor facilities. There is a large breakfast/dining terrace, a big garden ideal for games or sunbathing and a 6m diameter swimming pool.
Miscellaneous. FRIDAY changeover day:
£200 security deposit - fully refundable if no damage to the property and left in a clean and tidy condition.
Hire of bed linen - £10 per person per week. The village has a riding stable, Every day (except Sunday) the village is visited by a lady selling freshly baked bread. You can enjoy quiet walks around the church and visit the local farm, which breeds prize winning Charolais cattle.
Location. Located in the South Vendee, St Maurice des Noues is a small, quiet village between La Chataigneraie and Fontenay le Comte, only 3 miles from the medieval town of Vouvant, on the borders of the Mervent-Vouvant recreational forest. The house is set on a quiet road which leads directly to Vouvant, and is only a few hundred yards from the centre of the village. A beautiful property is perfectly located for exploring the area.
About an hour from airports at Poitiers and La Rochelle,3 hours from St Malo, 4.5 hours from Caen or a 7 hour drive from Calais (8 hours from Zebrugge)
Activities. Just 3 miles away is the lovely medieval village of Vouvant, with it's ancient walls and tower overlooking the Melusine river. A perfect place for a picnic down by the river, or for the more energetic, climb the tower and enjoy the spectacular views over the countryside. The Mervent Vouvant forest where you will find the Pierre Brune play park, great for adults and youngsters, Miles of mountain biking trails. Mervent itself has spectacular views, and at the lake you can hire boats or canoes.Also lovely little restaurants and creperies tucked away in forest glades and ancient chateaux.
The nearby town of Fontenay has 2 Hypermarkets, a thriving outdoor market on Saturday mornings, and numerous cafes and bars for you to visit on an evening.
Also within an easy drive is Nantes, fantastic cathedral, castle and restaurant quarter. Theme park of Puy de Fou (allow a full day for this, and don’t forget the evening shows).
