The kitchen. The brand new hand made kitchen has all mod cons to make your life and well deserved holiday easy, including a gas hob, electric oven, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, kettle and toaster. A plentiful supply of crockery, cutlery and glassware. The dining area has a large table and seating for upto 8

Living area. Large, light and airy open plan living/dining space. Exposed oak beams, traditionally built stone walls, vaulted ceilings, with many handmade features such as the 3 metre high arched window entrance provides a stunning setting for your holiday. Large sofa & plenty of comfortable armchairs centred around a wood burning stove. Off the main living area there is a TV with a selection of DVD's. WIFI broadband is available upon request.

Bedrooms. The master bedroom has its own luxury en suite shower room, with suspended WC, washbasin & heated towel rail. A second double bedroom and a further twin bedroom. All the bedrooms have electric panel radiators for cooler nights and hair dryers. Linen can be provided at a small fee per week.

Bathroom and Toilets. Family bathroom with bath, suspended WC, washbasin & heated towel rail plus the ensuite facilities with the master bedroom. Separate W.C on the ground floor.

Garden and outdoor facilities. The garden has swings under the cool shade of oak trees, lawns, an orchard, vegetable patches and chickens. The double doors of the lounge open to the walled terrace with both shade and sun all day where you can sit and enjoy a drink and a BBQ. Another terrace area has views onto the garden and surrounding fields. For small children there are play pens, a sand pit and a paddling pool. For the older children (adults!) there is table football and a large selection of board games available upon request.

Miscellaneous. For children there are cots, cot beds, high chairs, baby monitors, loo seats and potties. Should you wish to pamper yourself then we can arrange for our local English beautician to come help you relax in the surrounds of your gite. Pets are permitted downstairs. Smoking outside on the terrace but not in the Gite.

Location. The port of St Malo is approximately 3 hours, Caen 5 hrs, Cherbourg 5.5 hrs, Calais 7 hrs. La Rochelle and Poitiers airports are approx 1.25 hours drive and Nantes 1½ hrs. Car hire is available at these airports. You will be in the heart of the Vendee with its micro-climate, relax in the sun, go to the beach or visit La Rochelle.

Activities. Within a 5 mins drive there is: Swimming pools - open air and covered, Tennis, Go karting, Horse riding. Forest of Adventure and 170 km of cycle path in the Vendee. Around a 30 mins drive there are the following activities:
Puy du Fou - a spectacular medieval Park with day and night shows, Visit the local vineyard Cave in Pissotte - Gold award winner. Medieval Gardens, Fishing at Pescalis-Europe's premier fishing centre. Bungee jumping. Hot air balloon rides. Micro lightflights, Paint balling. Vouvant - the village of painters and listed as one of the most beautiful villages of France
The Mervent Forest with cycle and footpaths and a Zoo. The Faymoreau Mining centre and village giving a taste of the life of a miner in the last century. There are around 260 different activities in the summer and details can be found both in the gite and the local tourist office.
