Maison Thouarsais is a three bedroom cottage, sleeping 5, in a quiet hamlet close to the village of Thouarsais Bouildroux in the Vendee region of France. The beautiful renaissance town of Fontenay le Comte  is a short drive away and has excellent shopping facilities.  It is close to the west coast near picturesque La Rochelle and the popular resorts  of La Tranche Sur Mer and Les Sable D'Olonne are less than an hours drive away. It is situated close to the Mervent/Vouvant forest, the Venice Vert and the renowned Puy du Fou, where medieval re-enactments take place daily

The kitchen. Fully fitted and very well equipped; it has an electric oven with gas hob, microwave, toaster, fridge, ample storage and work surfaces. Crockery, cutlery/utensils, bowls, pans, iron and ironing board. There is also a fridge freezer.

Living area. Satellite TV/ DVD player, X-box with 2 controllers and games, comfortable sofa and arm chairs, dining area with dining table for 6. Wood burner for the Autumn evenings,

Bedrooms. The master bedroom (double) has an en suite shower room. Two further double bedrooms. There is a newly fitted family bathroom on the ground floor. Cot also available. Each well furnished bedroom is fully equipped with duvets and pillows. Linen is included but not towels.

Toilet and Bathroom. En-suite shower room and a large bathroom with shower over the bath, wash hand basin and toilet.

Garden and outdoor facilities. Large private garden. Exclusive use of  heated swimming pool. Patio area with furniture behind the house over looking open countryside. BBQ area situated in the courtyard. Fruit trees at the rear of the garden

Miscellaneous.All services are included (i.e. water heating & electricity).

Location. The house is only three hours drive from the port of St. Malo, 4 hours from Ouistream (Caen) and 4 ½ from Cherbourg.

Activities.You are situated just 10 minutes away from Vouvant and  Mervent with their forest and lakes. Just outside Mervent is a retro adventure park for both adults and children, a zoo and treetop climbing cent re. Cycling, sailing, fishing, horse riding and go-karting are all available close by.
The nearby village of  Pissotte has a large vineyard with tours and tasting during most of the year. Also well located for a number of very high class competition standard golf courses.
